2 Timothy 1:7...

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.

Fees and Costs

  1. The month to month price $75.00. There is a $5.00 discount for a second member of the same family and a $20.00 discount for the third member of the same family.
  2. All monthly students will pay on either the 1st or the 15th of the month. Those paying on the 1st will be paying in advance for a month that runs from the 15th to the 15th. Those paying on the 15th will be paying in advance for a month that runs from the 1st to the end of the month. Each student will be allowed to choose which payment option is best for them.
  3. Any payment over 5 days late will be charged a $10.00 late fee. If there is some problem see me in advance to avoid late fees.
  4. Students will not be allowed to take classes if payment has not been received by the start of the class month. Again, please see me if there is some problem so that we can work out an agreement that will best help the student.
  5. Once a student has taken any class during the month no portion of the monthly payment can be refunded.. If there is some sort of emergency that prevents full participation please see me to discuss what can be done.
  6. Students can pay for six months in advance ($400) and save $100 off the month to month yearly fee. Students can also pay for one year in advance ($750) and save $150 off the month to month yearly fee. This agreement requires commitment and forethought as refunds will not be made for students who voluntarily drop out of classes.
  7. Refunds are not normally made after yearly or six month payment is received and classes have started. If an unforeseen situation comes up such as health problems, moving out of town, or loss of job then refunds will be considered using the following: Expenses will be calculated on a monthly rate plus a single administrative fee of $50.00. (Any portion of a month that classes were taken will be counted as a whole month.) The balance will then be refunded. Discounts received for multiple member families will be taken into consideration when calculating refunds.

Students can make up missed classes during any scheduled evening class.)There are discounts if multiple members of the same family are taking classes. A second student cost $55.00 per month a third student is $45.00 per month. Family is defined as parents, children, spouse, siblings or grandparents.

If an unforeseen situation comes up such as health problems, moving out of town, or loss of job then refunds will be considered using the following: Expenses will be calculated on a monthly rate plus a single administrative fee of $50.00. Other Cost:

  1. Uniforms: All students must have an official Blythewood Tae Kwon Do uniform before starting class. The cost is $45.00
  2. Test: There is a promotion test every two months. The cost of the test is $45.00. This includes the cost of materials and belts. Only students that have attended at least two classes per week and have demonstrated to the instructor the appropriate level of knowledge and skill are allowed to take the test. Even with these safe guards, occasionally a student does not pass the test. Those students will have to retake the test on the next scheduled time and will be expected to again pay the testing fee. There is a $10.00 late fee for turning in the test application after the deadline. There is also a $10.00 additional fee for students who want to take a makeup test (a test on a day other than the scheduled date).  See below for information on the Black Belt Test.
  3. Black belt testing: For most students starting at white belt it will take about 2½ to 3 years to prepare for the Black Belt Test. Since that is a considerable time in the future the price and rules are subject to change. To give the new student an idea of what to expect the current price for a Black Belt Test is $400.00. (This covers the temporary test and the permanent test.) If a student fails (about 10% do) there is an additional $50.00 fee for retesting.
  4. Protective equipment: When a student becomes a Yellow Belt they will began to learn about sparring. In order to spar with another student they must have approved protective equipment. Just as with the uniform the head gear and the chest gear must have the Blythewood Tae Kwon Do logo printed on them. A complete set of the gear will cost $135.00.  Please talk to Ms Skroback if you have difficulty with this cost.
