U-Yong is a fourth degree black belt who has practice her skill for over fifteen years. She has been the owner and master instructor at Blythewood Tae Kwon Do since 1999. Over 60 of her students have attained the Black Belt rank and many have won or placed in national tournaments.
Instructor U-Yong comes from Korea and has the unique skills and knowledge necessary to train students worldwide in the martial arts. With U-Yong’s special skills people with all levels of ability are helped to become the best they can be.
Learning Tae Kwon Do is a rewarding, enjoyable and interesting experience that takes persistence and patience. Students are expected to learn and follow the six tenets of Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control, Indomitable Spirit, and Humility.
Black Belt At Last
After three years of training at Blythewood Tae Kwon Do Master U-Young Skroback awarded Claire Wyszynski and Daniel Turnipseed with the Blackbelt in Tae Kwon Do. Not pictured is Ben McElmurray got his second degree black belt at the same time.

Daniel Turnipseed (Left) is the son Tina Turnipseed and lives in Blythewood. He began taking TKD when he was 5. Daniel is a student at Bethel Hanberry Elementary School. Daniel has a wonderful spirit and is very proud of his accomplishment.
Claire Wyszynski (Right) is nine years old and has recently completed 3rd grade at C.C. Pinckney Elementary. Besides Tae Kwon Do, Claire enjoys piano, fishing, and running. The morning after earning her Blackbelt Claire placed 2nd in her age group at the Fort Jackson Sergeants’ Major association 5K run.
